The
2012
Winchester Art Club Annual Exhibition will
be held in the City Space in the Winchester Discovery Centre between
1st September and 30th September 2012.
Approximately
180 paintings and sculptures will be displayed, showing the best of our
work in a wide range of styles and media.
Each
member
is allowed to submit only three paintings for judging by a panel of
independent art professionals, ensuring that the standard of exhibits
remains high.
Prizes
are
awarded for the best Oil, Watercolour, Acrylic, Sculpture and Drawing
and also for the best beginner.
There
is also
a prize for the work voted 'most popular' by the visitors to the
gallery.
The
exhibition will be shared with
paintings selected by Winchester City Council from an open competition
for work exhibiting the "Olympic Spirit"
Royal
Hampshire County Hospital Exhibition
An
Exhibition
of 120 paintings runs from handing-in on 15th
October 2011 until Handing-out on 31st March 2012. The paintings are displayed in the main corridor of
the hospital. Artists donate a hanging fee and will also donate part of
the proceeds of any sale to charitable causes within the hospital.
